Over 200 wrongly issued PCNs overturned in Newham
When a sign goes missing you would expect the correct replacement sign to be installed, but that does not always happen.
There used to be a disabled bay outside 2 Woodstock Road:
Unfortunately by June 2015 the sign had gone missing:

This inevitably led to a further information request about the number of historic PCN, which resulted in this response:
The local bylaw which creates the bay does not say it's for disabled residents, it's just a normal disabled bay. You can imagine my surprise when, having queried the apparent discrepancy between the sign and the traffic order, I received this response:

A formal complaint was raised and in fairness Newham has done the right thing on this occasion:
Many people assume when they get a PCN that they must have done something wrong, you should never make such an assumption as you risk throwing money away for nothing.
